Verona

Sleeping all alone
you wake up with a bottle in your hands
no sound of serenade cause we both know we lost our game

I was always high on loving you
before the romance turned to drama
like Romeo and Juliet once before
we are lost in Verona

Learning through the scars
will make you stronger time is the proof
I ´m not a loner kind
I know I just cant get over you

I was always trying to tell the truth
before the romance turned to drama
I hope the best in me was always you
before we lost our Verona

We are lost
lost in the crowd of the street
we are lost
like two sailing boats in the sea
we are lost
`cause sometimes we building and burning down love
we are lost our Verona

...
We lost and we found our Verona
....
We are lost in Verona

Reckless type of love, reckless type of love
we never said I`m sorry
we never said enough
this western type of woman; western type of man
disappeared in Verona

Into The Red

The list of things I could live without
Grows longer as I move everything around
Behind all the furniture
Pointed toward her
To keep her in my sights
To keep her in my life

By all means, she can get ahead of herself
I had already be there
I'll already be there to meet her

She's no traitor
I've got no chaser
For a leg up
I've got no chaser
She's no traitor
For a joint account
She gave me everything that she had left

(She doesn't love)
Anything for herself
But for me, she goes way in, way in, way into the red

She saw every hand in my pocket
She sold her gold rush
She watched me lose face every day
Rather than lose me
She was the gold rush, she was the gold rush
She was the gold rush
She sold every hand in her pocket
And she sawed off every hand

(She doesn't love)
Anything for herself
But for me, she goes way in, way in, way into the red

She saw every hand in my pocket
She sold her gold rush
She watched me lose face every day
Rather than lose me
She was the gold rush, she was the gold rush
She was the gold rush, she was the gold rush
She was the gold rush, she was the gold rush

What I have will believe you until now
Even doing nothing I am making the most of somehow
And the credit goes to her
It's the bad day speaking red
Gotta keep her in my sights
Gotta keep her in my life

By all means, she can get ahead of herself
I had already be there
I'll already be there to meet her

Woman to man

There is a healing in these hands
A comfort in this voice
You don't have to keep on runnin'
You don't have to make a choice

You can settle in beside me
Love the feelin', drink it up
I'm your well out in the desert
You can come and fill your cup

There are the secret things I tell you
Things I know you understand
Man to woman, man to woman
Man to woman, woman to man
Man to woman, man to woman
Man to woman, woman to man

You can lay your weapons down
Fall deep inside these arms
Talk to me, you can talk to me
I'd be the last to do you harm

You can give your body up
Surrender it to love
Love is what I know the best
Love is what I'm made of

There are the secret things I tell you
Things I know you understand
Man to woman, man to woman
Man to woman, woman to man
Man to woman, man to woman
Man to woman, woman to man

German

being the German kid in the 20's in Los Angeles
was difficult.
there was much anti-German feeling then,
a carry-over from World War 1.
gangs of kids chased me through the neighborhood
yelling, 'Hieneie! Hieneie! Hienie!'
they never caught me.
I was like a cat.
I knew all the paths through brush and alleys.
I scaled 6-foot back fences in a flash and was off through
backyards and around blocks
and onto garage roofs and other hiding places.
then too, they didn't really want to catch me.
they were afraid I might bayonet them
or gouge out their eyes.

this went on for about 18 months
then all of a sudden it seemed to stop.
I was more or less accepted(but never really)
which was all right with me.
those sons-of-bitches were Americans,
they and their parents had been born here.
they had names like Jones and Sullivan and
Baker.
they were pale and often fat with runny
noses and big belt buckles.
I decided never to become an American.
my hero was Baron Manfred von Richthofen
the German air ace;
he'd shot down 80 of their best
and there was nothing they could do about
that now.
their parents didn't like my parents
(I didn't either) and
I decided when I got big I'd go live in some place
like Iceland,
never open my door to anybody and live on my
luck, live with a beautiful wife and a bunch of wild
animals:
which is, more or less, what
happened

Bad Kidz

We came to an agreement in good health:
That if no-one would take care of us, we'd be fine by ourselves
It was time to cut the views
Of those who don't deserve our spit
Why is it that we crave the praise
From the people who least deserve it?

If you gave us a flower
We'd sit and we'd water it
But instead we watch you weave your web
And you wait for us to fly into it

You act like you're a strong ant
We all act like we're weak
If only you'd quit trying to cripple
Our dancing fee-ee-eet

(Give and forgive)

Bad kids
Bad kids
Slip through your hands like liquid
Bad kids
Bad kids
Vanish when you shut your eyelids
They'll vanish when you shut your eyelids

Thinking of it is painful
It's better to accept it all
Thinking of all the mothers and the daughters
And the fathers and the sons
Who are waiting for a call
That says, 'I didn't mean it,
I love you for who you are.
Whether you make it in this sick industry or not;
You'll always be my special star.'

He said,
'If I became a pretty flower
Would you sit and talk to me?
Oh my roots, my roots are getting old
And I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting lonely, lonely!'

I'd play Superman, I'd make you feel safe
So why are you disappointed?
Everything that I did for you means nothing
'Cause you turned out to be wicked

Bad kids
Bad kids
Vanish when you shut your eyelids
Bad kids
Bad kids
Slip off your skin like liquid
Yeah, they slip off your skin like liquid

I'm a tangled ball of string,
I'm a criminal, you're the victim
I am a cat, and you are the mouse
And I am the milkmaid that killed all the cows

Oh, am I the oil to stain your skin?
Am I the storm that sank your ship?
Or you are the horse, and I, the cart
But it's you, but it's you, but it's you
It's not me, it's not me, it's not me
That broke your heart

That broke your heart
That broke your heart
That broke your heart
